Hi Substack! It’s me Kimberly. I’m a life coach who works with overwhelmed women in midlife who feel like they’re constantly juggling everyone else’s needs. Together, we simplify their lives, strengthen their boundaries, and create supportive systems that help them reclaim their time, energy, and themselves.
I just hit the big 5-0 and realized the lessons I learned in my 40s are very valuable. I can’t keep them a secret. I want to help women 30+ stop living a life that overwhelms them, and live a life that fulfills them. I want to share what I learned through trial and error and the changes I made in life to be more in alignment with my values.
Why subscribe?
I realize asking you to do one more thing when you’re already overwhelmed is asking a lot. If you feel like you’re balancing a full plate and something gets added to it, we both know you’re going to drop it. I know what it feels like to not have the capacity to take on one more thing, so I know that if you’re reading this and already feel overwhelmed, you think I’m crazy to suggest you subscribing to another newsletter.
Take a deep breath, and keep reading.
I share content for women who are overwhelmed. I talk about simplifying your life, strengthening your boundaries, and creating supportive systems. I’m introducing the idea of planning with intention and getting your planner to match your values.
If you’ve been struggling with overwhelm and feel responsible for taking care of everyone leaving little for yourself, I’m writing for you. I’m a life coach who helps women 30+ (with a special place in my heart for women in midlife) with all the problems described here. I want everyone to simplify their lives and feel fulfilled instead of depleted.
You may not be ready to hire a life coach yet. but on Substack when you subscribe, you’ll get to learn from me and try out new systems to see how they fit into your life.

·I’ve always been obsessed with butterflies I’m not sure when or where it started, but I love them. There is a lot of symbolism in butterflies and a lot of beauty. When I was single, I had a butterfly quilt for my bed. I have paintings and decor. I like to sprinkle them around wherever I can because they remind me of freedom and change all at one time.

Beyond the Chrysalis Mission
I believe women have spent far too long measuring their worth by how much they can carry. We’ve mistaken exhaustion for success, busyness for importance, and self-sacrifice for love.
I don’t believe women need another productivity system that asks them to do more. I believe they need simple, supportive rhythms that make room for work, rest, joy, and themselves.
Beyond the Chrysalis is about moving beyond survival. It’s about creating a life that fits the woman you’ve become—not the expectations you’ve outgrown.
